A residential flat in Mumbai is jointly owned flat by mother and one of her son. The son (co-owner) has fully paid the money to buy the flat. My question relates to the Legal frame?ork/basis for formation of Redevelopment commttee in a Cooperative Housing Society. The Managing Committee is not favour of its formation since it feels it will undermine its authority and powers in Redevelopment matters. The MC claims that the provisons of MCS act, rules and bye-laws no where provides for the formation of an RC. Even the 79 A Guidelines no where speaks of an RC but only a Managing Committee. Hence in summary since formation of RC is not provided by law its formation is not permissibl .  CHS, property-related issues
