I am 61 year old pensioner I.have borrowed 50,500 from a known person by hand cash in various installments between 2017 dec till match 2018. No document was signed or given.I couldn't pay in between but started repaying little by little from oct 2018. So, far I have repaid 32,1500 and pending is Rs. 18,000 which I'll be paying in 3 installments. However, this lady has constantly been harasssing me and now when I asked her to sign on a paper acknowledging she received monthly installments, she is refusing to do so. And is harssing and threatening me to pay interest as well else he said she will go to cops. Please note I have never borrowed from her on interest basis.
I have furnished 3 cheques for repayment of installment. I pay her cash and she returns me the cheque.
I don't understand what I should be doing.
