NSE Warns Investors against Unauthorised Stock Market Tips Provider Claiming Association with 'Sunrise'
Moneylife Digital Team 19 June 2026
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has issued a cautionary advisory to investors against a person identified as 'Priya', who is allegedly offering stock market tips, promising assured returns and seeking access to investors' trading accounts by claiming an association with an entity named 'Sunrise'.

According to the exchange, the individual is operating through mobile numbers 9754767717 and 9302574489 and is reportedly soliciting investors with promises of guaranteed profits from stock market investments. NSE says the person is also offering to manage investors' trading accounts and is asking them to share sensitive login credentials, including user IDs and passwords.

NSE has clarified that the individual and the entity referred to as 'Sunrise' are not registered either as trading members or as authorised persons of any registered member of the exchange. The exchange has advised investors to verify the credentials of brokers and authorised persons before dealing with them.

The exchange reiterated that any scheme or product offering indicative, assured or guaranteed returns in the stock market is prohibited under law. Investors have been strongly advised not to subscribe to such schemes and not to share their trading account credentials with anyone under any circumstances.

NSE pointed out that investors can verify the registration status of stockbrokers and authorised persons through its ‘know/locate your stockbroker’ facility available on its website. The portal also provides details of designated client bank accounts disclosed by trading members, enabling investors to verify payment channels before transferring funds.

The exchange warned that participation in such unauthorised schemes is entirely at the investor's own risk and that these schemes are neither approved nor endorsed by NSE.

Importantly, NSE stated that investors who deal with such unauthorised operators may not be eligible for the protections and remedies available under the exchange's regulatory framework. These include investor protection benefits, the exchange's dispute resolution mechanism, and the exchange-administered investor grievance redressal mechanism.

The latest advisory is part of NSE's ongoing efforts to alert investors to unauthorised entities and individuals who lure the public with promises of quick, guaranteed returns from stock market investments. The exchange has repeatedly urged investors to deal only with SEBI-registered intermediaries and to exercise caution before sharing personal or financial information.
