The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) issued five investor caution notices, warning investors against unregistered persons and social media channels offering securities market tips, account-handling services and, in some cases, assured or guaranteed returns. The exchange cautioned investors against sharing trading credentials and dealing with entities that are not registered with NSE.
In a release on 19 August 2026, NSE cautioned investors against a person named’ Priyank Sharma’, who claimed to be associated with an entity called Bitcoin Trading. According to the release, Mr Sharma was operating through mobile number 9660647854 and a Telegram channel named 'SHARE MARKET BULL having the link t.me/sharemarketeducationaltip. The channel was allegedly offering securities market tips, assured or guaranteed returns and account-handling services while asking investors to share their login ID and password.
The Exchange said the person or entity referred to in release is neither a member nor an authorised person of any registered NSE member. NSE advised investors not to subscribe to schemes promising indicative, assured or guaranteed returns in the stock market, as such offerings are prohibited by law. It also specifically warned investors against sharing user IDs and passwords with anyone.
On 18 August 2026, NSE issued another caution against a person identified as ‘Amit’, operating through mobile number 9166750697 and a Telegram channel named ‘Ddd’ having the link t.me/Ce_And_pe_Call_And_Put_nifty50/. The channel was allegedly providing securities market tips, assured or guaranteed returns and account-handling services while asking investors to share their login credentials. NSE said the person or entity was not registered as a member or authorised person of any registered NSE member.
Also on same day, the Exchange warned against persons named ‘Gopal’ and ‘Harshh Patel’, who claimed to be associated with ‘Harshh Capital Services’. NSE said the individuals were operating through two mobile numbers, 8141682182 and 9638488459, and Facebook groups named ‘BANK NIFTY & NIFTY TRADING’ having the link www.facebook.com/share/p/1GkR9Xjai2/ and Facebook group name FREE SHARE MARKET TIPS having the link facebook.com/groups/1294939377191693/. The groups were allegedly offering account-handling services and asking investors to share their login ID and password.
NSE had also issued two separate cautions on 17 August 2026.
In one release, the Exchange flagged a Telegram channel named BANKNIFTY FUTURES AND OPTION TRADING having link t.me/banknift_nifty50_updates_news , allegedly handled by a person named ‘Mr. Pankaj Bhardwaj’, for providing securities market tips on stock market investments. NSE said the person or entity was not registered as a member or authorised person of any registered NSE member.
In another release, NSE cautioned investors against a social media ‘X’ account operating under the name ‘Tradez Dynamics’ having the link x.com/tradezdynamics. These included a Telegram channel named ‘Tradez Dynamics Intraday’ having the link t.me/+g0H_TifqEME3YjN and a YouTube channel named ‘Tradez Dynamics’ having the link youtube.com/@tradezdynamicslive?si=ti_-c9cHBl92AKC5. The exchange said these social media handles were providing securities market tips and that the persons or entities running them were not registered as members or authorised persons of any registered NSE member.
Across the five notices, NSE reiterated that investors should verify the credentials of anyone offering investment-related services. The exchange has provided a
know/locate your stock broker facility through which investors can check registered members and their Authorised Persons. The facility also displays designated client bank accounts disclosed by trading members to the exchange, allowing investors to verify banking details before dealing with an intermediary.
NSE further warned that participation in such prohibited schemes would be at the investor's own risk, cost and consequences, as the schemes are neither approved nor endorsed by the exchange. Investors involved in such schemes would also not have access to the benefits of investor protection under the exchange’s jurisdiction, the exchange’s dispute resolution mechanism or its investor grievance redressal mechanism.
The repeated cautions underscore the growing risk posed by unregistered operators who use Telegram, Facebook, X, and YouTube to reach investors. While the notices cover different names and online channels, the common warning from NSE is that investors should not hand over their trading credentials or rely on promises of assured returns. Investors should independently verify whether a person or entity is registered with the exchange before sharing any information or transferring money.
