NSE Warns Investors against 2 Unregistered Stock Market Tipsters Offering Assured Returns
Moneylife Digital Team 01 July 2026
National Stock Exchange (NSE) has issued fresh investor advisories cautioning the public against dealing with two individuals, Goutam Das and Raj, allegedly offering illegal stock market tips, assured returns and unauthorised investment-related services through social media platforms. The Exchange has urged investors not to subscribe to such schemes or share their trading credentials with anyone, warning that these activities are prohibited under the law.

In one advisory, NSE said it had received information about a person identified as Goutam Das, who allegedly operates through a mobile number 9226212928, a YouTube channel called 'Chandrapur Share Bazar' having link  youtube.com/@ChandrapurShareBazarp9c , a Telegram channel named 'Index Option Sarthi' having link   t.me/indexoptionsarthi, a Facebook channel named 'Goutam Das' having link facebook.com/goutam.das.354314/ and websites having links csb-course.web.app  & chandrapur-share-bazar.web.app to provide stock market investment tips. According to the Exchange, the individual is offering securities market-related advice despite not being registered with NSE either as a trading member or as an authorised person of any registered member.

In a separate warning issued on the same day, NSE cautioned investors against a person identified as Raj, who claims to be associated with RST Academy. Raj allegedly operates through a mobile number 9025787725, a YouTube channel named Raj Safe Trader having link
https://www.youtube.com/@RajSafeTrader  and a WhatsApp community of the same name having link https://www.chat.whatsapp.com/DqLJd9Z1BWq3RcjRWdLQNV . NSE said the person is offering stock market tips, promising assured or guaranteed returns and even providing account handling services by asking investors to share their trading login IDs and passwords.

The Exchange reiterated that any person or entity offering indicative, assured or guaranteed returns from stock market investments is acting in violation of the law. It also advised investors never to disclose sensitive trading credentials, including user IDs and passwords, to any third party under any circumstances.

NSE clarified that neither Goutam Das nor Raj is registered as a member or an authorised person of any NSE-registered trading member. Investors have been advised to verify the credentials of brokers and authorised persons through NSE's 'Know/Locate Your Stock Broker' facility before dealing with any person or entity. The portal also enables investors to verify the designated client bank accounts disclosed by trading members to the Exchange.

The Exchange further warned that investors participating in such prohibited schemes do so entirely at their own risk, cost and consequences, as these schemes are neither approved nor endorsed by NSE. In the event of disputes arising from such activities, investors will not be entitled to the benefits of NSE's investor protection framework, dispute resolution mechanism or investor grievance redressal mechanism.

NSE has repeatedly cautioned investors against falling prey to unregistered market operators using social media platforms to lure the public with unrealistic promises of high or guaranteed returns.

The Exchange has advised investors to deal only with SEBI-registered intermediaries and to independently verify the credentials of any person offering investment-related services before investing.
