NSE Flags 8 Illegal Trading Operations Offering Dabba Trading, Guaranteed Returns and Account Handling Services
Moneylife Digital Team 04 September 2026
The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has issued a series of investor cautions against eight individuals, entities and social media channels allegedly offering illegal trading services, assured or guaranteed returns and account-handling facilities.

The Exchange warned investors against dealing with such unregistered operators and specifically cautioned them against sharing their trading login IDs and passwords. NSE also highlighted that investors dealing with such platforms will not have access to the exchange's investor-protection, dispute-resolution and grievance-redressal mechanisms.

In an advisory dated 31 August 2026, NSE said it had received information about a person identified as 'Ankit', operating through mobile number ‘7310892297’, a Facebook page called 'DABBA TRADING INDIA' on facebook.com/share/p/18tg6ewV7L and a website trademaster.life allegedly providing dabba or illegal trading services.

The Exchange said the persons or entities operating these platforms were not registered either as an NSE member or as an authorised person (AP) of any registered member. A police complaint has also been lodged, NSE said.

NSE pointed out that dabba trading is prohibited and carries serious legal consequences. Under Section 23(1) of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 (SCRA), contraventions of specified provisions can attract imprisonment of up to 10 years, a fine of up to ₹25 crore, or both.

The Exchange also said dabba trading may fall within the purview of Sections 316, 318 and 61 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

On the same day, NSE flagged a person identified as 'Krishna', who allegedly claimed to be associated with an entity called 'Profit Trading' and was operating through mobile number ‘9491426445’ and a WhatsApp community named ‘Profit Trading’, having the link chat.whatsapp.com/LiLzTyNC2Pt2LeXiHYN3X5.

According to the NSE, the person was offering account-handling services through a WhatsApp community and asking investors to share their login IDs and passwords.

In another warning dated 1 September 2026, NSE named a person identified as 'Priya', who allegedly claimed to be associated with Apex Broking Firm and was operating through mobile number 9424490146.

The person was allegedly using a Facebook page named ‘Trading Tamil Nadu’, having a page on Facebook, facebook.com/groups/1610151482583142/, and a website, app.apexcapitaltrading.in.

NSE said the person was allegedly providing securities market tips, assured or guaranteed returns on stock market investments, account-handling services, and dabba or illegal trading services to investors.

NSE also cautioned investors against two persons identified as 'Saumya' and 'Bivhaaba', who allegedly claimed to be associated with an entity named ‘Stock Exports’.

The persons were operating through mobile numbers ‘6371287856’ and ‘9348403281’, a YouTube channel named ‘Market Leads Pro’ having the link youtube.com/@MarketLeadsPro, and a Telegram channel named ‘Stock Export Signals’ having the link t.me/stockexportsignals. The advisory also mentioned the Telegram user ID @Paidstockexportsignals.

On 2 September 2026, NSE issued another caution against 'Vijay Kumar', who allegedly claimed to be associated with an entity named ‘Profit4x’. He was operating through mobile number “7976291553” and a Telegram channel named ‘100 Profit Daily’, having the link t.me/profit_daily_100Profitdailyy.

NSE said the operation was allegedly providing securities market tips, assured or guaranteed returns on stock market investments, and account-handling services, while asking investors to share their login ID and password.

In a separate advisory on the same day, NSE flagged a Facebook group called 'Online dabba trading Mumbai', having the link facebook.com/groups/1536501826995445alleging, alleging that it was providing dabba or illegal trading services.

NSE said the operation was allegedly providing dabba or illegal trading services.

A key warning running through the NSE advisories is that investors who participate in such prohibited schemes cannot rely on the Exchange's normal investor-protection framework.

NSE specifically stated that disputes relating to such schemes will not have access to the benefits of investor protection under the exchange's jurisdiction, its dispute-resolution mechanism or its investor grievance-redressal mechanism.

The Exchange has advised investors to use its 'know/locate your stock broker' facility to verify registered members and their Authorised Persons.

NSE also displays designated client bank accounts disclosed by trading members, allowing investors to verify the details before dealing with an intermediary.

The repeated warnings underscore the growing risk posed by social media-based trading offers, where promises of quick or guaranteed returns are combined with requests for trading credentials or direct control over investor accounts.

NSE has made it clear that participation in such prohibited or illegal platforms is at the investor's own risk, cost and consequences, as these platforms are neither approved nor endorsed by the exchange.
