Moneylife Digital Team 18 September 2026
The National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE) has cautioned investors against Gokul Patel, Ganesh Nagarsekar and individuals claiming association with ‘Stock Dost’, who were found to be offering securities market tips, assured or guaranteed returns and, in the case of ‘Stock Dost’, alleged dabba or illegal trading services. The Exchange said these persons or entities are not registered with NSE or authorised by any registered member.

In a release on 15 September 2026, NSE said a person named Gokul Patel, operating through mobile number 9696683892, is providing securities market tips. NSE cautioned investors against subscribing to any scheme or product promising indicative, assured or guaranteed returns in the stock market, noting that such offers are prohibited by law.

In another caution on 10 September 2026, NSE named Ganesh Nagarsekar, who was allegedly operating through Telegram channels ‘INTRADAY HERO ZERO TRADING’ having link t.me/Tips_Zero_To_Hero_Trading, ‘Trade With Logic’ having link t.me/+LHKzJWGRAW5hY2Q1 and a Telegram ID called ‘Paid Group Advisor’. According to the Exchange, the channels were offering securities market tips and guaranteed returns on stock market investments.

NSE said Mr Nagarsekar is not registered either as a member or as an authorised person (AP) of any registered member of the exchange. Investors were advised not to share trading credentials, including user IDs and passwords, with anyone.

Separately on the same day, NSE cautioned investors against certain individuals claiming to be associated with an entity called ‘Stock Dost’. The exchange said the individuals were operating through mobile numbers 7065490072 and 7310892297, a website having link stockdost.cloud , an application having link gargtraders.life/gargtraders.life.apk and several Facebook groups in the name of Online Dabba Trading, India's Best Dabba Trading Platform, Online Dabba Trading and Online Dabba Trading Mumbai are offering market tips, assured or guaranteed returns and dabba or illegal trading services.

NSE said the individuals associated with ‘Stock Dost’ are not registered as members or AP of any registered member of the exchange. It also said that a police complaint has been lodged in this matter.

The Exchange highlighted the legal consequences associated with dabba trading. It said that under Section 23(1) of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 (SCRA), a person contravening Sections 13, 16, 17 or 19 may face imprisonment of up to 10 years, a fine of up to ₹25 crore, or both, on conviction. NSE further said such offences are cognizable under Section 25 of the SCRA and may also fall within Sections 316, 318 and 61 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

The Exchange warned investors that participation in such prohibited or illegal schemes is at their own risk, cost and consequences, as these schemes and platforms are neither approved nor endorsed by NSE.

NSE also pointed out that investors participating in such schemes would not have access to several protections and mechanisms available under the exchange's jurisdiction. These include the benefits of investor protection, the Exchange's dispute resolution mechanism and the investor grievance redressal mechanism administered by the Exchange.

The Exchange advised investors to verify the registration status of anyone offering investment or trading-related services before dealing with them and to avoid sharing trading credentials. It also maintains a consolidated list of investor caution notices on its website.
