Nifty Up for 12th Day in a Row - Monday Closing Report

On Monday, 1776 stocks advanced, 2261 declined and 149 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio of 0.79 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), indicating negative closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Monday’s trading is given in the table below.
 
 
On NSE, 183 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 22 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  In sectoral indices, Nifty FMCG, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty IT were among the biggest gainers. Nifty Metal, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Auto were among the biggest losers.
 
Techno Electric & Engineering Company (TEECL) (+1.21%) won prestigious contract from RailTel Corporation of India. Techno Electric and Engineering will design, build, finance, operate, and transfer Edge Data Centers (EDCs) as a Business Associate of RailTel Corporation of India in 102 cities across India over a twenty-year concession period extendable by five years
 
Ramkrishna Forgings (-1.51%) received board approval for setting up an aluminium forging facility at Jamshedpur for Rs57.5 crore which will primarily cater to EV Market. The project will be set up with total installed capacity of 3,000 MT per annum and is expected to be commissioned by Q2 FY26. At the optimum capacity the project will generate additional revenue of Rs175 crore per annum for the company. 
 
NCC (+0.89%) received orders valuing Rs1236 crore in the month of August 2024. The orders are related to irrigation division and others. These orders are received from state government agencies and do not include any internal orders.
 
Dynacons Systems & Solutions (Dynacons) (-0.96%) was awarded a significant contract worth Rs142.55 crore by Bank of Maharashtra. 
 
ESAF Small Finance Bank (-1.75%) entered into an agreement with Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) for procurement of the new Core Banking Solution (CBS) for the Bank.
 
Biocon (+0.81%) received an Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), for its greenfield API facility (Site 6), located at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Biocon’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Biocon Pharma received approval of its ANDA for Daptomycin for injection (500mg vial), from the U.S Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). This product is indicated for use in the treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections (cSSSI).
 
SJVN (+2.07%) and NHPC (+1.53%) secured ‘Navratna Status’ from Department of Public Enterprises. ‘Navratna companies in India can invest up to Rs1,000 crore or 15% of their net worth in a single project without needing government approval. These companies have the liberty to invest up to 30% of their net worth within a year as long as it stays below Rs1,000 crore.
 
Power Grid Corporation of India (-0.43%), has acquired Bhadla-III & Bikaner-III transmission projects.
 
Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) (+2.93%) completed SPV acquisition of Khavda Phase-IV Part-A transmission project after receiving a letter of intent (LOI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy. The award of this project further strengthens AESL’s position as a leader in India's energy transition and consolidates its position as the largest private sector transmission player in India.
