Nifty, Sensex Still Trendless - Thursday Closing Report

On Thursday, 2064 stocks advanced, 1636 declined and 144 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio of 1.26 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), indicating positive closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Thursday’s trading is given in the table below.
 
 
On NSE, 91 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 11 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  In sectoral indices, Nifty Pharma, Nifty IT and Nifty PSU Bank were among the biggest losers. Nifty Metal, Nifty Auto and Nifty Media among the biggest gainers.
 
RailTel Corporation of India (RailTel) (+3.18%)and Electronics Corporation of India (ECIL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a collaborative partnership in the fields of ICT, Homeland Security, Cloud service etc.
 
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (-0.09%) Mahwah-based unit -- Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc, USA, is recalling 5,856 bottles of Deferasirox tablets for oral suspension.
 
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (-0.12%) has launched a new product - PTC room heater namely ‘ACGRH Insta Genial’.
