Nifty, Sensex Sink On Gulf war – Monday Market Report

On Monday, 821 stocks advanced, 3561 declined and 159 remained unchanged on Bombay Stock Exchange with advance decline ratio of 0.23 indicating a negative closing. The trend of the major indices on Monday’s trading is given in the table below.  
 
 
On NSE, 37 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 635 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows. In sectoral indices, Nifty Infrastructure, Nifty Auto and Nifty PSU Bank were among the biggest losers. Nifty India Defence, Nifty Metal and Nifty Pharma were among the biggest gainers.
 
Tata Power (-2.44%) signed an MoU with the University of Warwick to collaborate on new energy systems research. Focus areas include grid modernization, fast charging, storage, industrial decarbonisation, and digital energy systems.
 
Caplin Steriles received final USFDA approval for Desmopressin Acetate Injection USP in 4 mcg/mL single‑dose vials and 40 mcg/10 mL multi‑dose vials. The product, a generic of DDAVP Injection (Nordic Pharma), treats haemophilia A, von Willebrand disease, and central diabetes insipidus. With US sales of around $26 million (Dec 2025, IQVIA), the approval strengthens Caplin’s injectables portfolio in the regulated US generics market.
 
MAS Financial Services (-2.77%) received RBI approval to undertake factoring business activities. Operations will commence subject to market conditions and suitable opportunities. This approval diversifies MAS Financial’s portfolio into receivables financing.
 
Oswal Solar Energy, a subsidiary of Oswal Pumps (-3.99%), secured a ₹39.40 crore order for 7.46 MWp rooftop solar systems from Swashakthi Energy. The project marks Oswal’s entry into the rooftop solar segment under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Scope includes design, supply, installation, commissioning, plus a five year maintenance contract.
 
Bondada Engineering (-5.81%) commissioned 61.7 MWp solar projects in Maharashtra for clients including Paradigm IT and MAHAGENCO. The milestone showcases its renewable EPC execution strength with strict quality and safety adherence. This addition supports Maharashtra’s clean energy ecosystem and India’s renewable mission.
 
TCS (-0.91%) launched its Workspace Experience Studio with Zscaler Digital Experience™ (ZDX™) integration. The platform delivers Zero Trust security, AI powered analytics, and advanced observability for hybrid and remote work. Targeting a $160 billion digital workspace market by 2030, TCS estimates an $8 billion opportunity in five years.
 
ABB India (-1.48%) executed a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with ABB Robotics India for its Robotics Business. The transfer, on a slump sale basis, is valued at ₹1,568.20 crore. This follows board and shareholder approvals, with the BTA formally signed on 1 March 2026.
 
Tech Mahindra (-0.91%) and Orange Business have entered exclusive talks for a global strategic partnership to accelerate enterprise digital transformation. The collaboration will combine Orange’s platforms with Tech Mahindra’s delivery capabilities, outsourcing select global support functions. French operations and sensitive sovereign segments remain excluded to comply with EU regulatory requirements.
