Nifty, Sensex Set for More Gains - Wednesday Closing Report

On Wednesday, 1916 stocks advanced, 1786 declined and 139 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio of 1.06 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), indicating positive closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Wednesday’s trading is given in the table below.
 
 
On NSE, 156 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 13 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  In sectoral indices, Nifty Media was the only loser. Nifty Auto, Nifty IT and Nifty PSU Bank among the biggest gainers.  
 
Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) (+5.77%) has signed contract with Ministry of Defence (MoD) to supply 16 upgraded super rapid gun mount (SRGM) and accessories for Indian Navy.
 
Capacite Infraprojects (-1.56%) has received work order from Tridhaatu Aranya Developers LLP for total contract value of Rs101 crore.
 
Ramco Systems (+1.99%) has entered into strategic partnership with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP.
 
Aurobindo Pharma (+0.52%) has received final approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Darunavir Tablets.
 
JSW Steel (+1.39%) has paid about Rs2.79 lakh that was levied as penalty by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on JSW Ispat Special Products (JISPL).
 
Canara Bank (+1.68%) has received approval from Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to sell its 70% stake in its unlisted subsidiary, Canbank Factors.
 
Titan Company (-0.38%) has completed the acquisition of 91,90,327 equity shares of CaratLane and following the acquisition, the shareholding of the Company in CaratLane increased from 71.09% to 98.28% on a fully diluted basis. 
 
Star Cement (-0.86%) promoter sold net 10,000 shares through open market. Syngene International (-0.35%) KMP sold net 122,500 shares through open market. Goldiam International (+5.60%) promoter sold net 500,000 shares through open market. NRB Industrial Bearings (+3.13%) promoter bought net 14,500 shares through open market. 20 Microns (+2.55%) director sold net 2,000 shares through open market.
