Nifty, Sensex Reverse Course - Wednesday Closing Report

On Wednesday, 1162 stocks advanced, 841 declined and 1935 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio of 1.38 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), indicating positive closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Wednesday’s trading is given in the table below.
 
 
On NSE, 71 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 35 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  In sectoral indices, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Media and Nifty Energy were among the biggest gainers. Nifty IT and Nifty Pharma were among the biggest losers.

Kotak Mahindra Bank (+0.68%) has raised Rs1000 crore through the allotment of 100,000 Senior, Rated, Listed, Unsecured, Redeemable, Long Term Fully Paid Up Non-Convertible Bonds in the nature of
 
Debentures, of the face value of Rs1,00,000 each, (NCDs), issued on private placement basis.
 
UCAL (-0.72%) has received an approval for acquisition up to 49% of the equity share capital of Avironix.

Snowman Logistic (-1.89%): Net Sales was Rs124 crore in Q3FY24 up 13% YoY (Rs109 crore). Net Profit was Rs4.25 crore in Q3FY24 up 14% YoY (Rs3.74 crore).
 
Vardhman Holding (-2.06%): Net Sales was Rs7.73 crore in Q3FY24 up 73% YoY (Rs4.48 crore). Net Profit was Rs53.6 crore in Q3FY24 up 62% YoY (Rs33.1 crore).
 
IRCTC (+2.06%): Net Sales was Rs1,118 crore in Q3FY24 up 22% YoY (Rs918 crore). Net Profit was Rs300 crore in Q3FY24 up 22% YoY (Rs256 crore).
