Nifty, Sensex Remains Under Selling Pressure – Thursday Closing Report

We had mentioned in Wednesday’s closing report that Nifty and Sensex may try to rally. On Thursday, the indices opened gap down and ended with loss.
 
On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), 1,047 stocks advanced, 1,069 declined, and 52 remained unchanged with advance decline ratio of 0.98.

PTC India Financial Services share closed 18% down after its three independent directors resigned on account of lapses in corporate governance and compliance.
 
SMS Pharma has received non-exclusive license to manufacture and supply Molnupiravir. The stock closed 3% higher.
 
HUL’s Q3FY21-22 revenue increased by 10% to Rs 13,092 crore on a y-o-y basis and the net profit increased by 17%. 
 
Bajaj Finserv closed 4% down after reporting Q3FY21-22 results. Its profit was down 2.6% on a y-o-y basis.
 
Cyient’s Q3FY21-22 revenue increased by 6.5% to Rs 1,183.4 crore and profit grew by 8.7% on a y-o-y basis.
 
Datamatic’s Q3FY21-22 revenue declined by 0.8% to Rs 300.7 crore and the net profit increased by 66.6% on a y-o-y basis.
 
Asian Paints Q3FY21-22 revenue grew by 26% to Rs 8,527 crore on a y-o-y basis and the net profit declined by 18% due to inflationary pressure.
 
Century Textiles Q3FY21-22 revenue increased by 38% to Rs 1,065 crore and profit declined by 56% to Rs 14.1 crore on a y-o-y basis.
 
Bajaj Auto stock was down 2% after the company reported its Q3FY21-22 results. Its net profit declined by 22% on a y-o-y basis and the revenue increased by 1.3%
