Nifty, Sensex recovers from deep intraday losses - Monday Closing Report

On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), 1072 stocks advanced, 2571 declined and 109 remained unchanged with advance decline ratio of 0.42, indicating a negative closing of stocks in broader markets.
 
The trend of the major indices on Monday’s trading is given in the table below:
 
 
On NSE, 31 securities advanced and closed at new 52 week high whereas 277 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  
 
In sectoral indices, Nifty Metal, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty IT were among the biggest losers. Nifty FMCG and Nifty Media were among the biggest gainers.
 
Indian rupee closed at 82.63/$ against previous close of 82.55/$.

In Large trades, HDFC AMC (+0.12%) 2.4% equity changed hands at Rs1,602 per share. Crompton Greaves consumer electricals (-2.25%) 0.4% equity changed hands at Rs278.8 per share. Max Healthcare (+1.77%) 0.21% equity changed hands at Rs470 per share.

Banaras Beads Promoters bought net 13,414 shares through open market. Maharashtra Seamless promoters bought net 100,000 shares through open market. Indo Amines promoters sold net 48,832 shares through open market. Maharashtra Seamless promoters bought net 23,000 shares through open market. Centrum Capital promoters bought net 30,000 shares through open market. Lincoln Pharmaceuticals promoters bought net 27,800 shares through open market.
