Nifty, Sensex On an Uptrend - Weekly Closing Report

The trends of the major indices in the course of the week’s trading are given in the table below:
 
 
On Monday, 956 stocks advanced, 2593 declined and 186 remained unchanged on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) with advance decline ratio of 0.36, indicating a negative closing of stocks in broader markets. 
 
On NSE, 25 securities advanced and closed at new 52 week high whereas 268 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  
 
In sectoral indices, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty PSE were among the biggest gainers. Nifty Media, Nifty Metal and Nifty IT were among the biggest losers. 
 
Indian rupee closed at 82.84/$ against previous close of 82.75/$.
 
Infosys rolled out private 5G-as-a-Service to boost business value for enterprise clients worldwide.
 
Route Mobile launched TruSense, a digital identity and security suite for digital transactions.
 
Ashoka buildcon received notification of award from Government of Bangladesh for a project worth Rs650 crore.

On Tuesday, 1739 stocks advanced, 1715 declined and 136 remained unchanged on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), with advance decline ratio of 1.01, indicating a negative closing of stocks in broader markets.
 
On NSE, 22 securities advanced and closed at new 52 week high whereas 219 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  
 
In sectoral indices, Nifty media, Nifty Auto and Nifty PSU Bank were among the biggest gainers. Nifty Pharma, Nifty Energy and Nifty IT were among the biggest losers. 
 
Indian rupee closed at 82.67/$ against previous close of 82.84/$.

In sectoral indices all sectors ended in green with Nifty metal, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Media were among the biggest gainers. 
 
Indian rupee closed at 82.50/$ against previous close of 82.67/$.
