Nifty, Sensex Headed Higher - Tuesday Closing Report

On Tuesday, 1906 stocks advanced, 1894 declined and 165 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio of 1.00 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), indicating posiative closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Tuesday’s trading is given in the table below. 
 
 
On NSE, 165 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 12 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  In sectoral indices, Nifty Pharma and Nifty FMCG were among the biggest losers. Nifty Energy, Nifty Metal and Nifty PSU Bank among the biggest gainers.
  
PCBL (-2.60%) board approved acquisition of Aquapharm chemicals for Rs3,800 crore, with the acquisition, it forays into specialty segments of water treatment chemicals & oil & gas chemicals.
 
 Maruti Suzuki India (+0.18%) has planned to increase the prices of its cars in January, 2024 on account of increased cost pressure driven by overall inflation and increased commodity prices.
 
Jubilant Foodworks (-0.01%) proposed to acquire additional 51.16% stake in DP Eurasia NV for a price of up to 85 pence/share.
 
TCS (+0.38%) share buyback to start on December 1, close on December 7.
 
Fajr Capital along with promoters will acquire Aster DM's GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) business.
 
LIC (-0.94%) will launch new insurance plan ‘Jeevan Utsav’ on November 29. The new insurance plan will give compulsory survival benefit of 10%.
 
Bank of Baroda (+1.79%) will raise Rs10,000 crore via infrastructure bonds for a tenure of up to 7 years.
 
JSW Steel (+0.04%) completed the last tranche of its Rs 750 crore investment in JSW Paints, and the company now holds a 12.84% stake in JSW Paints.
 
Vishnu Chemicals (-0.11%) incorporated Vishnu International Trading FZE, a wholly owned subsidiary in Dubai, UAE. 
 
NCLT gave the nod for the scheme of amalgamation between Anup Heavy Engineering and Anup Engineering (-3.21%).
 
Clean Science and Technology (+0.02%) made an investment of Rs60 crore in Clean Fino-Chem Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, by way of the right issue.

Dr Lal Path Labs (-1.25%) director sold net 1,000 shares through open market. Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India (-1.25%) director sold net 5,455 shares through open market Parag Milk Foods (+2.13%) insiders bought net 27,101 shares through open market.
