Nifty, Sensex headed higher – Monday closing report

We had mentioned in previous week’s closing report that Nifty, Sensex were directionless. On Monday, the indices opened higher and ended with decent gains. On the NSE, there were 1,334 advances, 694 declines and 70 unchanged.
The trend of the major indices on Monday’s trading are given in the table below:
Avenue Supermarts announced that its standalone revenue for the quarter ended 30 June 2021 jumped 31% to Rs 5,031.75 crore from Rs 3,833.23 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
HDFC Bank advances as of 30 June 2021 aggregated to Rs 11,475 billion from Rs 10,033 billion in the corresponding quarter of previous year. Deposits aggregated to approximately Rs 13,460 billion from over Rs 11,894 billion year-on-year.
RailTel Corporation of India received a work order amounting to Rs. 16.99 crore from Central Mine Planning & Design Institute.
Bajaj Healthcare’s board has approved listing of 1.37 crore equity shares of Rs.10 each on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE).
Multi Commodity Exchange of India and European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) have entered into a MOU with the objective of knowledge sharing and exchanging of expertise on electricity derivative products.
ITD Cementation secured an order from Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation for the development and construction of Dream City Depot including Metro Bhavan and associated electrical and mechanical works for the Surat Metro Rail Project, Phase-1. It has also secured an order from Military Engineer Services for the construction of an aerospace museum at the Palam Air Force Station in Delhi.
Tata Steel’s crude steel production went up by 55% to 4.62 million tonnes YoY. 
The Indian Hume Pipe Company has received letter of acceptance for the work of about Rs 257.60 crores from Madurai City Municipal Corporation.
Panacea Biotech has received the manufacturing license from the Drugs Controller General (India) (DCGI) for the Sputnik V vaccine.
Heranba Industries received environmental clearance from the ministry of environment and others for the expansion of manufacturing facilities at Valsad in Gujarat.
Apcotex Industries’ plant at Valia, Gujarat has been shut down for planned maintenance activities, for about 11 days starting 2 July 2021.
