Nifty, Sensex Extend Losing Streak for the 7th Day; Broader Market Turns Weak

On Wednesday, 1807 stocks advanced, 2,483  declined and  244 remained unchanged on Bombay Stock Exchange with advance decline ratio of  0.73 indicating  a negative  closing. The trend of the major indices on Wednesday’s trading is given in the table below.  
 
 
On NSE, 156 securities advanced and 123 closed at a new 52-week high whereas  securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows. Nifty India Defence, Nifty Energy and Nifty Media were among the biggest losers. Nifty IT was the only gainer. 
 
Escorts Kubota (-0.24%) commenced construction of a ₹2,000 crore greenfield manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to produce up to 60,000 tractors and 15,000 construction equipment units annually. The facility is strategically located near Yamuna Expressway and Noida International Airport to enhance distribution and exports.
