Tata Group stocks came under pressure after N Chandrasekaran resigned as Tata Sons chairman and decided not to seek reappointmen, with TCS (-3.93%), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) (-1.32%), Tata Steel (-1.57%), Titan Company (-0.57%), Tata Consumer Products (-1.49%), Tata Elxsi (-2.19%), Tata Technologies (-2.67%), Tata Investment Corporation (-1.18%), Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (-1.65%), Tejas Networks (-1.19%), Nelco (-2.11%) and Tata Communications (-0.57%) trading lower. Tata Chemicals (+0.66%) and Voltas (+0.18%) bucked the trend, while Tata Power (-0.14%) and Trent (-0.43%) also remained under pressure.
