Nifty, Sensex continue to trend up – Wednesday closing report
We had mentioned in Tuesday’s closing report that Nifty, Sensex may try to head higher. On Wednesday, the indices opened higher and closed with decent gains. On the NSE, there were 1,276 advances, 645 declines and 106 unchanged.

Bharti Airtel has launched 'Airtel IoT' - an end-to-end platform to connect and manage billions of devices and applications in a highly secure and seamless fashion.
 
HDFC sold part of the invoked shares of Reliance Power on the stock exchanges worth Rs 30.63 crore.
 
Tanla Platforms has appointed Aravind Viswanathan as chief financial officer effective 1 June 2021.
 
AGC Networks has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in cyber security cloud services provider Z Services HQ through its indirect subsidiary - Black Box Holdings Cayman Islands. 
 
Rajesh Exports bagged a first major prestigious order post Covid worth Rs 745 crore of designer range of gold jewellery from Germany.
 
RailTel Corporation of India bagged an order worth Rs 22.38 crore from Controller General of Defence Accounts, for setting up of network operation centre. Another order worth Rs 11.99 crores was placed by M/s. Axom Sabra Siksha Abhiyan Mission, for deployment of artificial intelligence based identification system for capturing attendance and management of SDMIS.
 
Steel Strips Wheels confirmed export orders of close to 4,00,000 wheels for US & EU caravan trailer market, US mobile home and US truck trailer market. The order is worth approx. USD 5.7 million (Rs 42 crore).
 
Mahindra & Mahindra has signed MoU with Mahindra MSTC Recycling Private Ltd (MMRPL) to offer an end-to-end solution for scrapping of vehicles. At present, MMRPL is engaged in the business of acquiring used or end of life vehicles to dismantle and scrap it under the brand name of CERO.
 
IL&FS has sold its stake in IL&FS Environmental Infrastructure & Services and its subsidiaries to EverEnviro Resource Management, a subsidiary of the Green Growth Equity Fund (GGEF) managed by EverSource Capital.
