Nifty, Sensex Continue to Push Higher - Thursday Closing Report

On Thursday, 1898 stocks advanced, 1810 declined and 149 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio of 1.04 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), indicating positive closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Thursday’s trading is given in the table below. 
 
 
On NSE, 165 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 15 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  In sectoral indices, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty IT, Nifty Energy among the biggest losers. Nifty Pharma, Nifty Infrastructure and Nifty FMCG among the biggest gainers.  
 
Vascon Engineers (+1.12%) has received approval for raising Rs125 by way of qualified institutions placement (QIP).
 
Tata Coffee (+0.22%) has received approval for the setting up of an additional 5500 Metric Tonnes (MT) Freeze-Dried Coffee facility in Vietnam.
 
Satin Creditcare Network (+0.76%) has received approval for issuance of 45,650 rated, unlisted, secured, senior, redeemable, taxable, transferable, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of Rs45.65 crore on a private placement basis.
 
SJVN (+0.59%) has successfully synchronized the Second Unit of 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project (NMHEP) with the National Grid.

Alipay Singapore Holding, an arm of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, has divested its entire 3.44% stake in Zomato (+1.67%) for Rs3,337 crore through open market transactions.
