Nifty, Sensex Continue to Move Sideways - Wednesday Closing Report

On Wednesday, 1622 stocks advanced, 2067 declined and 141 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio of 0.78 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), indicating negative closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Wednesday’s trading is given in the table below.
 
 
On NSE, 140 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 14 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  In sectoral indices, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Metal and Nifty Media FMCG were among the biggest losers. Nifty IT, Nifty Auto and Nifty Pharma among the biggest gainers.  
 
Wipro (-0.11%) has entered into collaboration with NVIDIA to help healthcare companies accelerate adoption of generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) through AI-driven strategies, products, and services.
 
GMR Power and Urban Infra (+5.00%) has acquired 1,051,154,500 equity shares of GMR Energy (GEL), a subsidiary of the company (representing 29.14% of the equity share capital of GEL).
 
AstraZeneca Pharma India (-0.65%) has received permission to import pharmaceutical formulations of new drug for sale or for distribution in Form CT-20 from Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation for the additional indication of Olaparib film coated tablets.
 
Adani Enterprises (-0.94%) wholly owned subsidiary -- Adani Defence Systems and Technologies (ADSTL) has signed Shareholders Agreement and Share Subscription Agreement with Elbit Systems, Israel (ESL).
 
Eco Hotels & Resorts (-4.98%) has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Accsol Management Services, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
 
OK Play India (-0.64%) has acquired 100% Shareholding in MRH Technologies to act as its sole and exclusive distributor under MRH Technologies subsidiary to promote, distribute, supply, install and service its new product- PureAir Mobile Fine Dust Particle Filter.
 
Reliance Industries (+0.33%) has planned to invest an additional Rs 20,000 crore in Bengal in the next three years for enhancing digital life solutions, augmenting Reliance Retail footprint and on bio-energy.
 
CG Power and Industrial Solutions (+19.99%) has filed an application with Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India seeking approval to set up an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility and the grant of subsidy for the said project.
 
Raymond Limited  (-4.4%) fell for the seventh day as the acrimonious separation between   Chairman Gautam Singhania and his wife came to light. The stock has fallen 12%  since November 13 when Singhania announced a separation from Nawaz Singhania, his wife of 32 years and a Raymond board member.
 
Eclerx Services (+10.55%) insiders sold net 24,098 shares through open market. Ethos (+0.17%) promoter sold net 8,000 shares through open market.
