MIC Electronics partners with IOC to develop energy efficient technologies

MIC Electronics Ltd said it entered in partnership with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC) for study and development of combined solar and light-emitting diode (LED) light source based products as well as projects for foray into green and energy efficient technologies. No financial details were provided.

The two companies have successfully initiated pilot marketing of solar based LED lanterns on commercial scale in select state offices of IOC marketing division.

On Friday, MIC Electronics and IOCL shares ended 3.2% and 10.4% up at Rs40 and Rs377, respectively on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The benchmark Sensex closed 0.9% down at 17,574 points
