QatarEnergy prepared to extend liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply force majeure until mid-October 2026, impacting global markets and Indian importers, amid regional tensions and rising spot prices.
 
Bank of Baroda will investigate an alleged data breach with over 1TB of sensitive customer and operational information leaked on the dark web. The exposed data reportedly includes account details, Aadhaar numbers, loan applications, and internal audit reports. The Bank has not publicly confirmed the breach and regulators have yet to issue statements. The incident remains under investigation.
 
HDFC Bank concluded an internal review on a deposit arrangement with MSRDC, finding employee business overreach but no fraudulent intent; disciplinary actions included warning letters and fines on senior executives.

Larsen & Toubro secured offshore wind orders worth over ₹15,000 crore in consortium with Hitachi Energy, supporting TenneT’s 2GW HVDC (High-Voltage Direct Current) offshore wind programme across the Netherlands and Germany with associated offshore infrastructure. Larsen & Toubro secured a ₹5,000 crore-₹10,000 crore order for a large-scale housing redevelopment project in Mumbai involving 26 high-rise towers using precast construction technology. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) won a major EPC order worth between ₹5,000 crore and ₹10,000 crore from Kuwait Oil Company for new crude oil storage tanks and export infrastructure upgrades, supporting enhanced crude handling and export capabilities. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) secured a Limited Notice to Proceed for the ₹10,000 crore–₹15,000 crore lara stage-iii thermal power project (2x800MW) in Chhattisgarh. The engineering-procurement-construction (EPC) contract includes design, supply and commissioning using ultra-supercritical technology to add 1,600MW of base-load power capacity.
 
NLC India subsidiary, NLC India Renewables, secured a letter of intent (LoI) for a 900MW solar power project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd through a competitive tariff-based bidding process. This project expands NLC’s renewable energy portfolio, aligning with its long-term green power generation strategy.

Hind Rectifiers secured its first order for mainline electric multiple unit (EMU) trainsets worth ₹60 crore. This marks Hirect’s entry into delivering full railway system solutions beyond component supply.
 
Adani Energy Solutions secured an ₹8,500-crore inte-rstate transmission project in Andhra Pradesh to support green hydrogen and ammonia projects. The scope includes substations and approximately 1,582 circuit kilometres of transmission lines, adding 10,500MVA of transformation capacity. This project raised AESL’s transmission order-book beyond ₹80,000 crore and is scheduled for completion within 30 months.
 
Highway Infrastructure received a Letter of Acceptance worth ₹28.69 crore from NHAI for toll collection and maintenance at Kozhinjipatti Fee Plaza on NH-44, Tamil Nadu. The contract is for 90 days and enhances Highway Infrastructure’s tollway collection portfolio in South India. The project adds to the company’s expanding presence across key national corridors.
 
Coforge secured a five-year artificial intelligence (AI)-led transformation contract valued over US$230mn with a major European client. The engagement involves AI automation, low-code/no-code platforms, and AI-driven software development aimed at improving productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency at scale. This marks one of Coforge’s largest AI engagements in Europe.
 
PTC Industries received a design and development order from DRDO’s Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE) for a titanium cradle, a critical component for the 105mm Indian light weight tank. The titanium part supports the main gun barrel and recoil system, enhancing tank mobility and performance. This contract expands PTC’s capabilities from manufacturing to design-led defence engineering and supports its integrated PTC ONE™ platform.
 
Welspun Corp announced of a historic ₹960 crore (US$120mn) US export order. The landmark win brings the company's total consolidated order-book to an all-time high of ₹25,750 crore (nearly US$2.7bn), significantly boosting multi-year revenue visibility.
 
Waaree Renewable Technologies received two EPC contracts for ground-mounted solar PV plants totalling 800MW from a leading renewable energy company in India. The projects, scheduled for completion in FY27-28, comprise 530MWp (megawatt-peak) and 552MWp capacities and reinforce Waaree’s role in advancing India’s solar energy infrastructure. These contracts are commercial with no related-party transactions.
 
Aurionpro Solutions secured a ₹50 crore order from Mumbai metropolitan region development authority (MMRDA) to deploy automated fare collection solutions on Mumbai Metro Line-5, expanding its existing Automated Fare Collection (AFC)deployments on Lines 4 and 4A to six additional stations, enhancing urban mobility.
 
Mergers/ Acquisitions / Fund-raise / Stake Sale
TVS Motor Company increased its stake in TVS Credit Services Ltd by acquiring 4.39% equity for ₹711 crore, raising its ownership to 85.15%, thereby consolidating its financial services business.
 
Dassault Systemes agreed to acquire ArisGlobal for up to US$2bn, expanding into life sciences software with a focus on AI-driven pharma compliance solutions.
 
United Spirits invested ₹2.69 crore for a 10.08% stake in Nuvola Spirits Private Limited, boosting its presence in the premium craft beverage segment.
 
RattanIndia Power’s promoters’ shareholding restrictions were lifted, freeing 236.61 crore equity shares representing 44.06% of total equity from all encumbrances. Previously, 209.76 crore shares were under a non-disposal undertaking linked to a ₹550 crore working-capital facility. The release removes restrictions but does not confirm repayment or cancellation of the facility.
 
Bondada Engineering acquired a 60% controlling stake in Onix IPP, gaining control of a 225MW solar portfolio under the PM-KUSUM programme in Maharashtra. The acquisition was completed through cash consideration of ₹0.0006 crore (₹60,000). Onix IPP holds a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with MSEDCL, with expected annual revenue of ₹150.48 crore. Bondada did not disclose the overall project valuation or capital expenditure (capex).
 
Granules India reported that the US FDA raised no concerns regarding corrective actions at its Gagillapur manufacturing facility. Remediation work is essentially complete, with seven of eight manufacturing sites now holding clean establishment inspection reports (EIRs). Nine product launches valued at about US$11bn await regulatory clearance for Gagillapur. Production at the facility continued during remediation without suspension.
 
Tata Elxsi entered a strategic partnership with SCTIMST to jointly develop next-generation healthcare and medical technology solutions, covering diagnostics, medical imaging, digital health, biomedical engineering and AI-enabled healthcare. The collaboration integrates SCTIMST’s clinical research with Tata Elxsi’s expertise in engineering and AI, aiming to accelerate India-led healthcare innovation for global markets.
 
SML Mahindra approved the acquisition of Mahindra & Mahindra’s truck and bus division for ₹525 crore, aiming to create a unified commercial vehicle business with enhanced scale and operational efficiencies; the transaction is expected to complete by early-August 2026.
 
Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services (-1.08%) invested ₹7.96 crore for a 19.9% stake in fin-tech firm Unobanc via preferential shares, aiming to expand its digital payments ecosystem presence.
 
Earnings 
Epigral Limited reported  16.3% year-on-year (y-o-y) rise in revenue to ₹705.36 crore and a 25% increase in profit before tax to ₹133.74 crore for Q1FY26-27. However, net profit fell 37.9% y-o-y to ₹99.74 crore due to a high deferred-tax credit in the previous year. Total income grew 15.4% y-o-y to ₹709.46 crore, while total expenses rose 13.4%. The profit decline reflected tax timing rather than operational weakness.
 
Tamilnad Mercantile Bank posted a 35% y-o-y increase in net profit to ₹411.5 crore and a 32% rise in net interest income to ₹765.4 crore for Q1FY26-27. Asset quality improved with gross non-performing assets at 0.69%. Provisions increased to ₹54 crore from ₹8 crore y-o-y. The results showed strong earnings, despite higher provisioning.
 
NESCO Ltd reported  9.6% y-o-y increase in revenue to ₹211.8 crore and  4% rise in net profit to ₹99.96 crore for Q1FY26-27. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) declined 7.2% y-o-y to ₹102.4 crore, causing margin contraction to 48.3% from 57%. The margin pressure was due to higher operating costs or revenue mix changes. Overall, revenue and profit growth showed business resilience.
 
SBI Cards reported  19.4% y-o-y increase in net profit to ₹664 crore and  3.4% rise in total income to ₹5,205 crore for Q1FY26-27. Interest income declined 2.9% y-o-y to ₹2,421 crore, while provisions fell 13.6% y-o-y to ₹948 crore. Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) improved to 2.0% and net NPA to 0.8%. The company added 10.23 lakh new accounts, reflecting strong consumer demand.
 
Bank of India posted  36% y-o-y increase in net profit to ₹3,068 crore and  13% rise in net interest income to ₹6,833 crore for Q1FY26-27. Gross NPAs declined to 1.81% and net NPA to 0.51%. Provisions fell to ₹963.6 crore from ₹1,096 crore y-o-y. The results indicated improved asset quality and profitability.
 
Dodla Dairy reported  19% y-o-y rise in revenue to ₹1,198 crore but  35.6% y-o-y decline in net profit to ₹41 crore for Q1FY26-27. EBITDA fell 21.4% y-o-y to ₹65 crore, with margins narrowing to 5.4% from 8.2%. Margin pressure was due to higher input costs. The company expanded sales but faced earnings challenges.
 
Welspun Corp posted  14.9% y-o-y rise in revenue to ₹4,081.12 crore and  200% increase in net profit to ₹1,047.88 crore for Q1FY26-27. The profit included a ₹547.93 crore gain from the sale of associate shares, inflating headline figures. Underlying profit after tax rose about 43% y-o-y. EBITDA grew to ₹690 crore with margin expansion to 16.96%.
 
Wendt India reported 36.6% y-o-y increase in revenue to ₹71.28 crore and 63.5% rise in net profit to ₹6.18 crore for Q1FY26-27. Profit growth outpaced revenue due to operating leverage, despite higher material costs. Employee and other expenses rose slower than revenue. The company remained debt-free with stable tax rates.
 
Hindustan Zinc recorded 76.9% y-o-y increase in revenue to ₹13,747 crore and 144.8% rise in net profit to ₹5,469 crore for Q1FY26-27. EBITDA rose to ₹8,050 crore with margin expansion to 58.56%. Cost increases included mining royalties and other expenses but finance costs fell sharply. The quarter showed strong volume and realization gains despite softer operating leverage
 
Equitas Small Finance Bank net profit rose to ₹184 crore from a loss of ₹224 crore y-o-y; NII increased 31% y-o-y to ₹1,029.4 crore.
 
Pine Labs net profit surged 308.6% y-o-y to ₹19.57 crore; revenue grew 19.7% y-o-y to ₹736.92 crore; EBITDA margin expanded to 12.9%.
 
Cholamandalam Investment net profit rose 45.6% y-o-y to ₹1,653.59 crore; revenue increased 22.2% y-o-y to ₹8,833.38 crore.

Shoppers Stop net loss narrowed; revenue increased 11.2% y-o-y to ₹1,291 crore; EBITDA margin slightly declined to 14.5%.
 
UCO Bank net profit increased 8% y-o-y to ₹656.3 crore; net interest income (NII) rose 17% to ₹2,808 crore; asset quality improved.
 
IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited reported a strong Q1FY26-27 with a 51.3% y-o-y rise in consolidated net profit to ₹306.27 crore, supported by a 20.8% increase in EBITDA to ₹1,150 crore and a sharp EBITDA margin expansion of 857bps (basis points) to 53.93%. Revenue from operations grew modestly by 1.8% to ₹2,137.27 crore.
 
Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals delivered its highest quarterly net profit, more than doubling y-o-y to ₹490.04 crore, driven by a 22.5% revenue increase to ₹3,256.26 crore and a 64.7% surge in EBITDA to ₹845 crore. EBITDA margin improved significantly by 666bps to 25.96%, reflecting enhanced operating leverage and cost control.
 
Privi Speciality Chemicals showed healthy growth with a 36% y-o-y rise in net profit to ₹84.21 crore and a 19.2% increase in revenue to ₹666.22 crore. EBITDA grew 15.2% to ₹152 crore, although EBITDA margin contracted slightly by 77bps to 22.86%.
 
Westlife Foodworld Limited posted mixed results: revenue increased 11.9% y-o-y to ₹735.64 crore, but net profit declined sharply by 52.2% to ₹0.59 crore due to margin pressures and higher finance and depreciation expenses. EBITDA margin slipped slightly to 12.6%.
 
Dixon Technologies (India) saw a sharp 194.9% y-o-y jump in consolidated profit attributable to owners to ₹663.42 crore, supported by 21.1% revenue growth to ₹15,547.66 crore. However, EBITDA declined 4% to ₹463.12 crore, with margins contracting by 78bps to 2.98%, affected by higher other income.
 
Sun Pharma reported a 27% y-o-y increase in consolidated net profit to ₹2,894 crore, with revenue rising 10.5% to ₹15,299 crore. EBITDA increased modestly by 3% to ₹4,417 crore, but EBITDA margin declined from 31% to 28.9%, impacted by weaker US sales.
 
GAIL (India) delivered a strong quarter with net profit surging nearly 240% quarter-on-quarter to ₹4,292 crore and revenue rising 12% to ₹38,952 crore. EBITDA increased by 453% q-o-q to ₹6,376 crore, with margin improving sharply to 16.4%.
 
SJVN Ltd posted strong 52% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹1,394 crore and a 19.1% rise in EBITDA to ₹884 crore, though net profit was flat at ₹225 crore. EBITDA margin declined notably from 80.9% to 63.4%, signalling margin pressure despite higher sales.
 
Kajaria Ceramics reported a 55.5% y-o-y increase in net profit to ₹171 crore and 20.4% revenue growth to ₹1,328 crore. EBITDA rose 39.3% to ₹260.2 crore, with margin expanding to 19.6%, reflecting improved operational efficiency.
 
Century Plyboards (India) achieved 54% y-o-y net profit growth to ₹80 crore and 34% revenue growth to ₹1,561 crore. EBITDA increased 55% to ₹198 crore, with margin expanding to 12.7%, supported by strong demand.
 
Sanghvi Movers Ltd saw net profit rise 29.9% y-o-y to ₹65.2 crore and revenue jump 38.9% to ₹379.6 crore. However, EBITDA margin contracted by 338bps to 33.03%, due to higher operating costs.
 
Kirloskar Brothers Ltd reported 12.9% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹1,104.9 crore but net profit was flat at ₹66.6 crore. EBITDA increased 3.7% to ₹115.8 crore while margin declined to 10.5%, indicating cost pressures.
 
Voltamp Transformers Ltd posted a strong 28.4% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹543.78 crore and 14.7% net profit increase to ₹91.22 crore. Profit before tax rose 12.7% to ₹117.90 crore, with sequential profitability gains, despite a slight revenue dip.
 
Shadowfax Technologies reported a stellar 65% y-o-y revenue rise to ₹1,358 crore and a 718% surge in net profit to ₹65.4 crore. EBITDA grew over threefold to ₹91.8 crore, with margin expanding by 370bps to 6.8%.
 
Aether Industries delivered 33.5% y-o-y net profit growth to ₹62.75 crore and 27.3% revenue rise to ₹326.56 crore. EBITDA rose 27% to ₹103 crore, with stable margins near 31.5%.
 
Bajaj Finserv showed  12% y-o-y rise in consolidated PAT to ₹3,132 crore on 19% income growth to ₹42,037 crore. Bajaj Finance’s PAT grew 28% y-o-y, while insurance subsidiaries showed mixed results amid valuation fluctuations.
 
Nucleus Software reported  31% q-o-q decline in net profit to ₹23.8 crore and a 6.4% revenue drop to ₹210.4 crore. EBIT plunged 90.4% q-o-q, compressing margin to 1.36%.
 
Torrent Pharmaceuticals posted 54.8% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹4,921 crore with net profit rising modestly by 3.3% to ₹566 crore. EBITDA margin improved to 33.8% amid rising expenses.
 
Rainbow Children’s Medicare reported 33.2% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹469.99 crore and 13.2% net profit rise to ₹60.57 crore. EBITDA increased 29.9% to ₹134.65 crore, though margin slightly dipped.
 
Thermax Ltd faced a steep 83.4% y-o-y net profit decline to ₹25 crore, despite 6.7% revenue growth to ₹2,303 crore. EBITDA dropped 69.5% to ₹68.6 crore with margins contracting sharply.
 
Global Health Ltd (Medanta) posted flat y-o-y net profit at ₹158.7 crore on 26.5% revenue growth to ₹1,304 crore. EBITDA rose 26.3% to ₹286.8 crore with stable margins near 22%.
 
Chambal Fertilisers delivered 10.3% y-o-y net profit growth to ₹703.49 crore, despite an 11.8% revenue decline to ₹5,027.02 crore. Expenses fell 14.8%, supporting profitability gains.
 
Swiggy Ltd reported 34% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹7,112 crore. Its Instamart quick commerce arm achieved contribution break-even but still posted losses, while food delivery EBITDA rose by ₹100 crore to ₹292 crore.
 
JBM Auto Ltd posted 15.1% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹1,442.45 crore and 14.7% net profit rise to ₹42.20 crore, with a modest EBITDA margin improvement to 11.33%.
 
Mankind Pharma achieved 12.9% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹4,030.59 crore and 29.1% net profit increase to ₹574.09 crore. Profit before tax surged 42.4% y-o-y, supported by better operational performance.
 
Bajaj Finance Ltd posted 19.6% y-o-y total income growth to ₹23,166.42 crore and 27.6% rise in net profit to ₹6,080.60 crore. Profit before tax increased 28%, reflecting robust financial performance.
 
Vedanta Ltd reported a 24.1% q-o-q net profit increase to ₹5,294 crore, despite  1.64% decline in revenue. EBITDA rose 13%, with margin expansion driven by improved efficiency.
 
Ajanta Pharma Limited recorded 24.8% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹1,625.96 crore and 30.9% net profit rise to ₹334.22 crore. EBITDA rose 21.1%, with a slight margin contraction.
 
Mahanagar Gas Limited showed strong sequential recovery with 15.6% revenue growth and 48.5% net profit increase q-o-q. EBITDA margin improved to 14.5%, supported by higher compressed natural gas (CNG) sales.
 
PSP Projects posted a sharp turnaround with 64.8% y-o-y revenue growth to ₹853.47 crore and significant net profit increase to ₹18.34 crore. EBITDA nearly doubled, with margin expansion signalling improved efficiency.
