JSW Steel Ltd reported a first quarter consolidated net profit of Rs295.4 crore compared with Rs234 crore during the same period last year.
Total revenues increased to Rs4,681.2 crore in the April-June quarter this year from Rs4,253.5 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2009.
On a standalone basis, the company registered a net profit of Rs350.3 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2010 against Rs340 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
On Tuesday, JSW Steel shares ended 0.8% lower at Rs1,160 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the Sensex closed 0.3% higher at 18,077 points.
