Turmeric's New Uses
As you know, turmeric or haldi is a spice made from
grinding the roots of the Curcuma longa plant. It is a prime ingredient in
curry powder and figures heavily in Asian cuisines. Because it imparts a vivid
yellow colour to the food, it is often used to colour as well as flavour
condiments, rice dishes and sauces. Milk with a liberal dose of haldi is also
