Fast Startup: To Speed Up Your Start Up Process
Here’s a hack you may want to look at. A Windows computer, typically, takes anywhere between 10 and 20 seconds to start up and it can be very irritating, if it takes more time. The easiest way to speed up boot time is to disable unwanted start-up apps. To do this, just search for ‘Startup Apps’; examine each one that runs on ‘Startup’ and eliminate those that are unnecessary --it will definitely improve your start-up speed.

Windows also has an inbuilt feature to speed up your start-up process. Normally, when you shut down your Windows-based computer, it shuts down all apps, processes, drivers and the core part of the operating system. With Fast Startup enabled, however, Windows takes a shortcut. Instead of fully shutting down, it saves the system state to a special file on your drive. The next time you boot up, Windows loads that saved state, instead of rebuilding it from scratch. More like hibernation for your system files.

To enable Fast Startup, go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do, then click Change settings that are currently unavailable. Under shutdown settings, check the box for Turn on fast startup (recommended) - Save changes and you’re done.

Enjoy a speedy start-up – simply!
