Beware of Stock Tip Operators 'Shubham' and 'Solapur Share Market Academy', Warns NSE
Moneylife Digital Team 06 August 2026
The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has issued two separate investor advisories warning the public against dealing with unregistered individuals offering stock market tips, account-handling services and promises of assured returns through mobile phones, YouTube and WhatsApp. The Exchange has cautioned investors not to share their trading credentials with such entities and reminded them that these operators are not registered with NSE or its authorised members.

In the first advisory, NSE said it received information about a person identified as 'Shubham', operating through mobile number 8273023514, who is allegedly providing securities market tips, offering assured or guaranteed returns on stock market investments and providing account-handling services by asking investors to share their trading login IDs and passwords.
According to NSE, the individual is neither a registered trading member nor an authorised person of any registered NSE member.

In a separate cautionary notice, NSE warned investors against Shivshankar Patil, who claims to be associated with an entity called Solapur Share Market Academy. The individual allegedly operates through mobile number 7219564843, a YouTube channel named 'SOLAPUR STOCK MARKET ACADEMY'  (youtube.com/@Solapursharemarketacademy)  and a WhatsApp group called 'My Trading Business Model’ (chat.whatsapp.com/DlZqyGMDzzmAvWDNDgCJnk), where securities market tips are reportedly being provided to investors. NSE said neither the individual nor the entity is registered with the Exchange.

The Exchange reiterated that any person or entity promising indicative, assured or guaranteed returns in the securities market is acting in violation of the law. Investors have also been advised never to disclose their trading user IDs, passwords or other login credentials to anyone, as doing so could expose them to fraud and unauthorised transactions.

NSE urged investors to verify the credentials of brokers and authorised persons before dealing with them by using the 'know/locate your stock broker' facility. The portal also displays the designated client bank accounts disclosed by trading members, enabling investors to verify payment details before transferring funds.

The Exchange also pointed investors to the consolidated list of investor advisories available on its website at https://www.nseindia.com/invest/advisory-for-investors , where similar cautionary notices are regularly published.

NSE cautioned that participation in such prohibited schemes is entirely at the investor's own risk and that these schemes are neither approved nor endorsed by the Exchange.

The investors involved in such arrangements would also not be entitled to benefits available under NSE's investor protection framework, including the Exchange's dispute resolution mechanism and investor grievance redressal mechanism.
