ABB starts wind power generator factory in India

ABB Ltd, power and automation technology company said it started its fourth global wind power generator factory at Vadodara in Gujarat.

The factory will supply wind power generators, a crucial component in wind turbines, for the growing Indian and global markets. The new factory will produce upto 100 units per month with a rating of upto 2.5 MW, ABB said in a regulatory filing.

On Friday, ABB shares ended flat at Rs773 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.3% down at 18,401 points.
