Vivimed Labs partners with US-based ISP for manufacturing UV absorbers

Hyderabad-based Vivimed Labs Ltd said it formed a manufacturing alliance with New Jersey-based chemical supplier International Specialty Products Inc (ISP) for production of ultraviolet (UV) absorbers. No financial details were provided.

The manufacturing alliance will allow the two companies to jointly market specific products used in sprays and lotions that include UVA and UVB protective properties.

From October onwards, ISP will add a number of UVA and UVB absorbers manufactured by Vivimed to its portfolio of sun protection ingredients.

On Wednesday, Vivimed shares gained 1.1% to Rs168 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed at 0.3% up at 17,462 points.

TCS signs multi-year contract with Telenor Norway

India's largest software company, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) said it signed a multi-year contract with Telenor Norway. No financial details were provided.

The contract includes application, maintenance and development services and will involve modernisation of Telenor's Norway application portfolio across its OSS, fixed, mobile, datawarehouse and accounting system domains.

On Wednesday, TCS shares gained 0.8% to Rs771 on Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed at 0.3% up at 17,462 points.

Adani Welspun starts exploratory drilling in Cambay basin

Adani Enterprises Ltd said Adani Welspun Exploration Ltd (AWEL), its joint venture with Welspun Natural Resources Pvt Ltd, started exploratory drilling in the Palej block in Cambay basin. This block was awarded to the company under the New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP) VI.

AWEL has 90% participating interest in Palej and Assam blocks through group companies, 100% participating interest in Mumbai offshore block and two blocks in Thailand. AWEL has also been awarded two offshore exploration blocks in Kutch basin as a non-operator with 20% and 30% participating interests.

Production sharing contracts for these two blocks are expected to be signed soon, it said in a regulatory filing.

On Wednesday, Adani Enterprises shares ended flat at Rs543 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed at 0.3% up at 17,462 points.
