TRF Ltd, a TATA Enterprise, said it received a Rs401.2 crore work order from NTPC Ltd for the power utility’s Vindhyachal super thermal power project.
The scope of the work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of coal handling plant on turnkey basis for NTPC’s Vindhyachal super thermal power project stage-IV (2x500 MW), TRF said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
On Friday, TRF shares closed 2.8% higher at Rs836, and NTPC shares closed 1.2% up at Rs202 on the BSE. While, the Sensex declined 0.3% to 17,460 points.
Pharmaceutical company Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd it has transferred its new drug discovery research unit (NDDR) to Daiichi Sankyo India Pharma Pvt Ltd as part of strengthening global research and development structure of the group.
"The new organisation RCI, based in Gurgaon, will play a key role in the group's global drug discovery research," Ranbaxy said in a statement.
As part of the transfer, Ranbaxy's new drug discovery research will be renamed as Daiichi Sankyo Life Science Research Center (RCI), which will be under Daiichi Sankyo India Pharma.
On Friday, Ranbaxy shares closed 1% down at Rs456 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the Sensex ended at 0.28% down at 17,460 points.
Mumbai-based IT service company, Glodyne Technoserve Ltd said it completed the acquisition of the US-based Technology infrastructure management services (IMS) company DecisionOne Corp, for about $104 million.
In a regulatory filing, Glodyne said the transaction would strengthen its position in the North American market. The transaction would also broaden the service offering portfolio across many segments, including: data center, networking, server, workstation, and storage services, as well as application management services.
On Friday, Glodyne shares closed 0.25% up at Rs763 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the Sensex ended at 0.28% down at 17,460 points.
