Sun TV network ties up with Arasu Cable television

Following this agreement, all channels of Sun TV would be available for distribution on then state government promoted Arasu Cable

 
Chennai: Kalanithi Maran owned Sun Television Network on Tuesday announced a tie-up with state government promoted Arasu Cable Television Corp for availability of all its channels in the latter's cable tv distribution system network in Tamil Nadu with immediate effect, reports PTI.
 
"This agreement will enable total availability of the company's channels on all cable TV distribution systems run by Arasu Cable across Tamil Nadu with immediate effect", Sun TV said in a filing to the BSE.
 
Arasu Cable TV Corp provides signals to cable operators in Tamil Nadu, except Chennai, at a subscription of Rs70 a month.
 
According to its website "the aim of the Corporation is to provide signals to the public through local cable operators and multi-system operators to end users at affordable cost.'
 
Sun Television Network noted it holds a "dominant" market share in terms of viewership ratings and said the new arrangement would help further enhance the competitive positioning of it's 'extremely popular' programmes.
 
Besides, it would now start earning additional subscription revenue from Tamil Nadu through this agreement with Arasu Cable TV Corporation, the company said.

RINL inks deal with PowerGrid to produce CRGO steel

The Joint venture electrical steel production facility would be set up at Visakhapatnam and produce CRGO and CRNGO steep

 
Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), holding company of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) entered into an MOU with Power Grid Corporation of India to set up an electrical steel production facility as a joint venture, reports PTI.
 
VSP Chairman and Managing Director AP Choudhary, and Power Grid Chairman and Managing Director RN Nayak signed the agreement.
 
The facility, to be set up at Visakhapatnam, envisages production of silicon steel, Cold Rolled Grain Oriented Electrical (CRGO) Steel and Cold Rolled Non-Grain Oriented Steel (CRNGO) Steel by setting up a new hot strip mill, a release said.
 
Incidentally, India has been meeting its entire requirement of electrical steel and CRGO steel through imports.
 
Recently, RINL had floated global expression of interest for potential technology suppliers and also held detailed technical deliberations with them along with Power Grid Corporation officials, the release said.
 
Earlier, RINL and Power Grid had signed an MOU in December 2011 to set up a joint venture company to manufacture transmission line towers and also undertake research and development of new high-end products.

With this festive offer, Xpress Money enables the expats to send money at an affordable fee of 1.70 Omnai rial, the company said in a release.
 
"India is a critical market for us as this is the largest 'receive' market globally, with inward remittances upwards of $64 billion in 2011," said Xpress Money Business head Sudhesh Giriyan.
