The Indian paper industry will continue to be bogged down by raw material availability, but the stock is worth considering

We had written about paper manufacturer Seshasayee Paper & Boards Ltd (SPB) in our issue of 8 April 2010. At that time, the stock was trading at around Rs161 and is currently trading at around Rs240. The stock is worth considering again.

SPB operates an integrated pulp, paper and paper board mill at Pallipalayam (Tamil Nadu). It uses 55% bagasse and 45% hardwood as raw material mix. The company’s experience in handling bagasse is expected to ...
