Omaxe Ltd said its subsidiary, Omaxe Infrastructure and Construction Ltd, won a contract worth Rs203 crore for construction of residential building at Mhow in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The contract has been awarded by Director General Married Accommodation Project (DGMAP), New Delhi. The project would involve construction of 90 blocks of eight-storeyed buildings with a total of 1,044 dwelling units. The work also includes internal electrification, internal water supply, road path, area drainage, security walls, fences and gates, street lighting, solar water heater, lifts and fire fighting systems as part of the project. The project is expected to be completed in 25 months, Omaxe said in a regulatory filing.
On Tuesday, Omaxe shares rose 3.4% to Rs141 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex gained 0.5% to 20,001 points
Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy Ltd said it won an order, worth Rs1,149 crore, from Kolkata-based engineering company Techno Electric Group (TEG).
The 202 MW order is a part of TEG's agreement with Suzlon for developing 500MW of new capacity and is the single largest deal signed by an independent power producer in the wind power sector, Suzlon said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The order will be executed in two phases, of which the phase-I of 101.4 MW will be commissioned in Tamil Nadu by June 2011, and the phase-II of 100.8 MW by December 2011, the filing added.
Suzlon has a market share of about 50% in the wind power sector in India.
On Tuesday, Suzlon shares declined 2.4% at Rs55 on the BSE, while the benchmark Sensex gained 0.5% to 20,001 points.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) said it won a contract, worth Rs2,665 crore, from Visa Power Ltd to set up a 1,200MW thermal power plant (2x600 MW) in Chhattisgarh.
BHEL will supply and install main plant package for Visa Power's upcoming coal-based thermal power project at Raigarh in Chhattisgarh state, BHEL said in a regulatory filing.
On Tuesday, BHEL shares ended 1.6% up at Rs2,478 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex gained 0.5% to 20,001 points.
