IT solutions company NIIT Technologies Ltd said it renewed its partnership with US-based human resource services provider Adecco S.A. Under the partnership, NIIT would help Adecco to improve internal cost structures, speed up application implementation and enhance service levels.
NIIT Technologies ended 0.14% down at Rs183.05 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.45% down at 16,445.61 points.
Shree Ganesh Jewellery House Ltd said it has taken over Sumit Jewels Pvt Ltd, Kolkata as its wholly-owned subsidiary. Sumit Jewels has an integrated diamond jewellery factory at Manikanchan SEZ in Kolkata. No price details were provided.
The company has also opened a subsidiary in Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone, UAE to purchase semi-finished goods.

IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd said its joint venture has emerged as the lowest bidder for the National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI) Jorabat-Shillong road widening project, worth Rs536 crore.
IL&FS Transportation in a 50:50 joint venture with Ramky Infrastructure Ltd would construct the four laning of Jorabat-Shillong (Barapani) of the National Highway-40 upto 61.8 km in Assam and Meghalaya. The project is based on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) pattern under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme-North East (SARDP-NE). The project is on annuity basis with a concession period of 20 years including a construction period of three years. The estimated cost of the project is Rs536 crore. The company shall receive a semi-annual annuity of Rs72.51 crore. It has received a letter of award from NHAI for the project.
