Mumbai Angels is planning to invest in Kolkata-based Milk Mantra Dairy Pvt Ltd. No financial details were provided.
Established in 2009, Milk Mantra has raised about $5 million through debt and equity to start its dairy business. It is planning to launch fresh milk in cartons, where fresh milk is available only in plastic covers.
Milk Mantra aims to provide direct-to-home service of fresh milk packed in a more hygienic manner and has tied up with about 50,000 farmers in Orissa to procure milk. It expects to start business this year and in the initial phase it will be available in Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
ICSA (India) Ltd, said its net profit for the September 2010 quarter stood at Rs29.4 crore from Rs27.8 crore in the same quarter last year.
During the September 2010 quarter, the power sector technology solutions provider said its total revenues grew to Rs325.4 crore from Rs307.2 crore, a year ago.
The total order book for the company in the September 2010 stands at Rs1,892 crore, the company said in a press release.On Thursday, ICSA shares ended 0.9% up at Rs149 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 2.1% up at 20,893 points.
JSW Steel Ltd said that it has registered a 23% growth in crude steel production in October at 0.559 million tonnes. The production, in the same month last year, was 0.453 million tonnes.
JSW Steel in a statement said that sequentially too, the company reported a 9% growth in monthly crude steel production. Rolled products (flat) production in October rose by 41% at 0.417 million tonnes against 0.296 million tonnes in the year ago period. Its rolled products (long) production in the month rose 32% at 0.101 million tonnes as against 76,000 tonnes in the year ago period, the company said.
On Thursday, JSW Steel shares increased 1.7% to Rs1,351 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 2.1% up at 20,893 points.
