Hyderabad-based MIC Electronics has won an order for supply of light-emitting diode (LED) screens for Commonwealth Games 2010, which are to be held from 3rd October to 14th October at New Delhi. The company was awarded the contract by Pico, one of the world's major marketing service providers, which is the event management company for the Commonwealth Games.
A total of 19 LED screens will be installed at the stadiums, of which 12 will be of 600 sq ft area. The remaining seven will have a smaller area of 150 sq ft each.
Under the contract, MIC will install about 8,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor screens at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium and Srifort stadium. The rental income from these screens will be Rs8.56 crore.
