The Kalyani group has appointed Paulo Soares, the chief of Suzlon's China operations, as CEO of its wind turbine making unit, Kenersys
India's Kalyani group has said that it has appointed Paulo Fernando Soares as the group’s chief executive of its unit Kenersys with effect from 13th April.
Before joining Kenersys, the Kalyani group's wind turbine unit, Mr Soares was working with Suzlon China. As the chief executive of Suzlon China, he was responsible for developing its business from a start-up phase to a completely established plant with a capacity to manufacture 600MW per year.
Kenersys, co-funded by US-based private equity firm First Reserve Corp, presently has two operating entities Kenersys Europe GmbH and Kenersys India Pvt Ltd, in Germany and India respectively for manufacturing, assembling, marketing and servicing wind turbines.
