Lawyers assault JNU students, journalists
New Delhi : A section of lawyers assaulted JNU students and journalists at the Patiala House court here on Monday just before JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar, arrested for sedition, was to be brought.

Scuffles broke out as the protesting lawyers shouting "Bharat Mata ki Jai" ordered the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students and journalists out of the courtroom, witnesses said.

An IANS journalist said he too was attacked by some lawyers while another section of lawyers protected him. He said he saw other journalists also being attacked.

Some JNU students said that lawyers shouting “Long Live India, Down with JNU” physically forced them out of the court premises.

On this page, there was a story of bouncers controlling an AGM. Many moons ago. Had said that things would get worse and someone was critical of me.

Was I wrong?

My uncle passed away at 95 or so a few years ago. He was a freedom fighter. When the Quit India movement and the salt satyagraha were on, they were attacked by the mounted police. They took refuge in the Wilson College. The Principal did not allow the police into the college premises. The police obeyed.

That uncle was a Gandhian, died in khadi, as did all his family.

Another uncle was a militant. Made bombs at home. He was caught on the Chowpatty beach, making salt from sea water on a Primus stove. Beaten up, he was in coma for four days.

We are seeing a return to Goonda Raj, a la Raj. It is in Delhi, not Bihar.

The climate of Intolerance has gone bad to worst and here is another example.
The fact is that RSS under Modi regime wants to control universities so it can teach its own fascist agenda.
During British rule even the police could not enter college unless invited by Principle but here Police is sent by Home Minister and charges of seditiaon are made .
The witnesses and many video show that it was outside who shouted anti Indian slogans but even if some student did ,where is the freedom of speech??? It is felt that climate of such intolerance is being created all over the nation that even goons are let loose to run the nation.
Ckimate is being created that RSS can ask Modi to decalre Emergency and take the rein of nation and spread fascist goal of RSS.This could be the first step

Indira declared Emergency first.

Modi attacks democracy even without such a declaration.

IT continues to be highest paying sector
Bengaluru : Leading online job portal Monster.com on Monday said the information technology (IT) sector continues to be the highest paying in India among Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and manufacturing sectors.

According to 'Monster Salary Index' (MSI), IT employees are being paid the highest at Rs.346.42 per hour, 24 percent higher than the median salary of the entire Indian economy taken together.

Next comes BFSI with a median gross salary of Rs.300.23 per hour while manufacturing sector pays the lowest among the three with a median gross salary of Rs.254.04 per hour.

Despite IT being the highest paying sector, only 57 percent of the surveyed employees are content with their remuneration. Similarly, only 52 percent BFSI employees are satisfied with their pay cheques.

Unlike IT and BFSI employees, as many as 60 percent of manufacturing sector employees are happy with their compensation.

"Manufacturing sector despite being paid low has 60 percent employees satisfied. This takes us back to the debate if salary is the most compelling tool for employee satisfaction," said Monster.com managing director Sanjay Modi.

Interestingly, wholly foreign owned companies pay even higher salaries.

Wholly foreign owned manufacturing companies pay a median gross hourly salary of Rs.319.5, BFSI Rs.451.63 and IT Rs.536.6.

According to MSI, strong talent pool is crucial for the Indian government's ambitious Digital India mission and others.

Modi added, "It is important for companies to closely analyse the correlation between salaries and employee satisfaction. The role of key talent becomes crucial."
