IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd said its joint venture has emerged as the lowest bidder for the National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI) Jorabat-Shillong road widening project, worth Rs536 crore.
IL&FS Transportation in a 50:50 joint venture with Ramky Infrastructure Ltd would construct the four laning of Jorabat-Shillong (Barapani) of the National Highway-40 upto 61.8 km in Assam and Meghalaya. The project is based on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) pattern under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme-North East (SARDP-NE). The project is on annuity basis with a concession period of 20 years including a construction period of three years. The estimated cost of the project is Rs536 crore. The company shall receive a semi-annual annuity of Rs72.51 crore. It has received a letter of award from NHAI for the project.
IL&FS Transportation Networks ended 1.59% down at Rs260.35 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.45% down at 16,445.61 points.
One of India's largest pulp paper producers, Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills, said it started the commercial production from paper machine 6 (PM 6) at its unit at Rajahmundry.
With the start up of this machine, the company will now have close to 250,000 metric tons of pulp and paper manufacturing capacity, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Andhra Pradesh Paper Mill ended 2.17% up at Rs94 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.45% down at 16,445.61 points.
Gujarat-based Elecon Engineering Ltd said it won a work order worth Rs32.77 crore from Manikgarh Cement Unit-II.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supplying, erectioning and commissioning of material handling equipment and other equipment, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Elecon Engineering ended 1.02% down at Rs77.55 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.45% down at 16,445.61 points.
