Food Inflation

Combined food inflation stood at 3.64% for November 2014, significantly lower than 5.58% recorded for October 2014. For rural and urban areas, food inflation was 3.83% and 3.40%, respectively, in November. Deflation was seen in vegetable prices, at 10.90% in November, compared to a deflation of only 1.45% in October. Inflation in fruit prices was 13.74% in November, while pulses were dearer by 7.54% year-on-year. Inflation for cereals stood at 3.64% and inflation for milk products was 10.24%. The price rise of non-vegetarian items, such as eggs, meat and fish, was 6.48% in November compared to 6.20% in October 2014.

Medical developments from around the world

Physicians Fleecing the Government and Patients

The latest issue of JAMA Internal Medicine has published details of how physicians, in the US, cheat patients and the government in the free-for-service system. The data collected in the study indicated that “higher-earning physicians earn more not by treating more patients but by offering more services per beneficiary. The relationship between these additional services and any meaningful improvement in outcomes is undefined... In Medicare’s fee-for-service system, some physicians are collecting large fees by ordering services munificently.” Medical practitioners know that ordering tests at random and prescribing multiple drugs for every ailment or doing surgery for minor problems does not require much thinking or wisdom; to reduce interventions and avoiding tests and surgery does. So most of us take the short route which is doctor-friendly and also more profitable for only the doctor.

Vaccine Companies Have To Get a Boost

On 22 February 2011, the US Supreme Court shielded drug companies from all liability for harm caused by vaccines mandated by the government.

Vaccines are a cash cow for the drug industry. Not only are they now completely shielded from liability when their vaccines injure or kill children, but they are indirectly ‘sponsored’ by government agencies and the so-called service organisations (who have no clue about what vaccination science is) that sell vaccination to families and children.

Is the Globe Warming?

Speaking to the Daily Mail Online, Dr Matthew Watson from Bristol University (UK) told the media recently that “he’s ‘terrified’ by many of the geo-engineering projects currently in the works to thwart man-made climate change, which is still being hawked by many in mainstream science as a threat to humanity.”

Some of the new technologies might be very, very dangerous to human health and other life on earth. One example will suffice. They are planning to spray chemicals to block the sun from the earth. This will disrupt rainfall and life cycles of plants and man as well.

The doublespeak of Western scientists baffles me no end. “Personally, this stuff terrifies me,” Dr Watson told reporters. “Whilst it is clear that temperatures could be reduced during deployment, the potential for mis-steps is considerable. By identifying risks, we hope to contribute to the evidence base around geo-engineering that will determine whether deployment, in the face of the threat of climate change, has the capacity to do more good than harm.”

This is the same gentleman who is doing a $2.8–million-dollar research on chemical spraying of the atmosphere. I am still wondering if the globe is warming or it is just a temporary phenomenon. A couple of decades ago, it was predicted that the world is headed for an Ice Age.

Even if global warming is a fact, the largest contributor is the water vapour from our oceans which cover 2/3 of this earth. One would be naïve to think that nature does not know how to balance this universe. Man-made global warming, as also science (man) made remedial measures of chemical sprayings, are a big business proposition. Science also seems to have lost its soul to the devil as prophesied by William Wordsworth in 1802 when the first Industrial Revolution started in England:

The world is too much with us; late and soon,

Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;

Little we see in Nature that is ours;

We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!

This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;

The winds that will be howling at all hours,

And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;

For this, for everything, we are out of tune…”
