Dhunseri Petrochem buys tea factory of Primax

Kolkata-based Dhunseri Petrochem and Tea Ltd said it has acquired the tea factory of Primax Tea Pvt Ltd. No financial details were provided.

"The company has purchased and taken possession of the tea factory of Primax Tea Pvt Ltd as per the agreement executed with them," the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The new factory's capacity will be expanded to 16 lakh kg per annum during winter from the existing 10 lakh kg per annum, it said.

On Thursday, Dhunseri Petrochem increased 1.53% to Rs212.95 on the BSE, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.72% up at 19,992.70 points.

Godrej Prop to develop residential project at Mohali

Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL), a real-estate arm of Godrej Group, today it would develop a residential housing project at Mohali in Punjab, which could involve a capital outlay of Rs450 crore.

Besides, the company would also focus on several cities, including NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai and Chandigarh for developing a slew of residential projects in line with its plans to cash in on the growing demand for housing from urban sector.

"We are looking to develop a residential project in Mohali with a minimum land of 20-25 acres... We are in talks with certain land owners here for (entering a) joint venture in this project," the company's managing director Milind Korde said.

On Thursday, GPL gained 0.42% to Rs675.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.72% up at 19,992.70 points.

L&T wins two orders worth Rs415 crore

Engineering and construction company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Ltd said it has won two orders worth Rs 415 crore from Hindalco Industries Ltd and Sepco-1 for construction of thermal power plant.

The first order worth Rs253 crore has been secured from Hindalco for carrying out steel works for the 6x150MW captive power plant in Orissa.

The second order worth Rs162 crore has been received from Sepco-1 for the 2x660 MW Talwandi Sabo Power plant in Punjab, L&T said in a press release.
On Thursday, L&T declined 0.86% to Rs2,011.10 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while Hindalco gained 2.25% to Rs218.40. The benchmark Sensex closed 0.72% up at 19,992.70 points.
