DCM Q1 net profit climbs to Rs5.7 crore

Textile manufacturer DCM Ltd said its net profit for the first quarter increased to Rs5.7 crore from Rs1 crore in the same quarter last year. Its total revenues during the June quarter increased to Rs72.2 crore from Rs51.7 crore.

On Wednesday, DCM shares fell 2.2% to Rs95 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex ended 0.8% lower to 18,070 points.

Bombay Burmah Q1 net profit jumps to Rs9.9 crore vs Rs0.9 crore

The Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation said its net profit for the June 2010 quarter jumped to Rs9.9 crore from Rs0.7 crore in the same quarter last year.

During the June 2010 quarter, the Mumbai-based company's net sales increased to Rs77.9 crore from Rs67.1 crore.

On Wednesday, Bombay Burmah shares rose 1.9% to Rs662 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex ended 0.8% lower to 18,070 points.

JK Sugar registers net loss of Rs13.2 crore in Q1

Kolkata-based JK Sugar Ltd reported net loss of Rs13.2 crore for the first quarter as against the profit of Rs0.9 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. The company's total revenues in the June 2010 quarter increased to Rs37.2 crore from Rs31.9 crore.

On Wednesday, JK Sugar shares closed 1.8% down to Rs24 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex ended 0.8% lower to 18,070 points.
