Garment manufacturer Bhandari Hosiery Exports Ltd said its net profit for the financial year 2010-11 stood at Rs11.1 crore as against Rs0.9 crore in the last fiscal. During the current fiscal, its total revenues increased to Rs86.8 crore from Rs80.2 crore in the last financial year, said the company in a regulatory filing.
On Thursday, Bhandari Hosiery shares declined 4.7% to Rs19 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 1.1% up to 18,454 points.
ACIL Cotton Industries said it has entered a contract with farmers to cultivate various organic crops in 45 acres of agriculture land at Surendranagar, in Gujarat.
According to the organic contract farming, the company will provide all facilities like irrigation system, technical assistance, quality seeds, organic fertilizers and labours to the farmers for better yields.
Further, the company has decided to set up some unique business model in corporate organic farming business. It is going to establish complete chain from farming to retailing the product for that the company is tying up with farmers for land to corporate organic farming.
On Thursday, ACIL Cotton Industries shares ended 1.2% up at Rs37 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 1.1% up to 18,454 points.
ABC India has secured four orders worth Rs114 crore from various companies for logistics related work.
The scope of work includes logistics and transportation of equipment for infrastructure and industrial projects. ABC India's total order book in project logistics currently stands at Rs165 crore.
