An initiation into Swami Ramdev’s political mantras

The yoga guru plans to do for the body politic what he has already done to the country’s creaky physiques: whip it into shape. He announced last month that he would found a political party that would field candidates for each of the 543 parliamentary seats in India’s next general election in 2014.

@ Stefan, I dont know you belong to which country. But your knowledge regarding India and Swami Ramdev seems to be very poor...workers were not fired for demanding wages..they were fired for misdoing...the concepts which are proposed by him will create bloodbath..strange statement dont know from which angle you think..

This man will start a bloodbath, and through this forming a new coruption. There is enough of these kind of dangerous people on earth, in power. A person who fires his own workers when they ask for minimi wages, can't be trusted. How long will it take for him to create laws that protects his own interests?

India no doubt is cheaper than many other nations but unfortunately we have failed to develop any tourist traffic. The only tourist we have are the back packers and not obne with money.
This is due to our own lack of infrastructure, news about rape of tourist .Lack of cleanliness .
When one compares the other destinations in the article why would one not go to S.America for American and Canadians and most of European visit Thailand and Cambodia etc.
We have to develop tourist traffic but have failed.
As some one said other day Are cows roaming in Delhi eating garbage a part of tourist attraction?
