ABB Ltd, power and automation technology company said it started its fourth global wind power generator factory at Vadodara in Gujarat.
The factory will supply wind power generators, a crucial component in wind turbines, for the growing Indian and global markets. The new factory will produce upto 100 units per month with a rating of upto 2.5 MW, ABB said in a regulatory filing.
On Friday, ABB shares ended flat at Rs773 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.3% down at 18,401 points.
Telecom operator Reliance Communications (RCom) said it has joined hands with Nokia India Ltd for a multi-faceted business alliance. No financials were provided.
The alliance will make Nokia's Ovi Life Tools services available to rural and semi-urban segments for RCom customers. It will also add Ovi Music Unlimited (OMU) device. OMU helps customers to download millions of tracks for free, direct to their mobile phone or to their computer from the Ovi Music Store for 12 months.
As part of this alliance, RCom is also offering mobile data bundle of 1.2GB on Nokia GPRS enabled handsets. In addition, RCom is offering upto 1,800 free on-net minutes bundled with Nokia 1800. These free voice minutes and mobile data bundles has a validity of six months.
On Friday, RCom shares declined 0.5% to Rs162 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.3% down at 18,401 points.
Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd said it received an approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market generic version of anti-depressant Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended release tablets.
"The company has received 180 days marketing exclusivity," Sun Pharma said in a statement, adding that the approval is for multiple doses of strengths of 37.5mg (base), 75mg (base) and 150mg (base).
Extended release tablets use a mechanism by which the tablets dissolve slowly and release a drug over time. They are taken less frequently and keep steadier levels of drug in the blood stream.
On Friday, Sun Pharma shares ended 0.2% down at Rs1,784 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 0.3% down at 18,401 points.
